Digitalisation programmes do not fund tools, they fund change in how a company operates. New software on its
own convinces no jury. What convinces is a project that describes which data goes unused today, which decision
improves as a result and which metric shows the effect after the project ends.
Three questions every application must answer
- Starting point: Which systems exist, where does the data sit, where are time or revenue lost today?
- Project: What is connected, analysed or automated, and how does that change a specific process?
- Impact: Which metric improves, for example processing time, conversion rate, stock turnover or response time?
Projects that typically fit
Data integration between shop, CRM and ERP, a dashboard with forecasts, lead scoring based on a company's own
sales data or an AI assistant in customer service: all of these connect existing data with decisions and are
therefore close to what digitalisation programmes aim to fund. Pure advertising budgets, ongoing licences
without a project scope and conventional website relaunches usually fall outside.
The specific solutions are described in the overview Solutions built on data and AI.
For Viennese companies, the Wirtschaftsagentur digitalisation grant
is currently the strongest programme; for Lower Austria, see the digi4Wirtschaft guide.
